Breckenridge/Summit County Colorado Update 

"Big Chill on Mountain Resort Areas Home Sales Beginning to Thaw? That was the headline in a recent Denver Post story. It was an interesting story that reports throughout the Mountain Resort Communities in Colorado, including Breckenridge, Copper Mountain and Keystone, the first quarter results are up over last year, but still off from past years. 

In Breckenridge and Summit County there were 160 homes sold during the first quarter, a 29 percent increase from the same time a year ago. However, the number is still 44 percent less that the deals closed in the first quarter of 2008. 

And while sales look like they're on the upswing, pricing is still off compared with a year ago. A local Realtor said, "Generally, I tell sellers if you want prime pricing, then wait, but it could be 3 or 4 years." That is NOT the case with Buyers. 

As I have been saying for months now, it is a sensational time to buy in Breckenridge and Summit County. We have a great selection of all types of property and prices have been adjusted to reflect the present market. We still might see prices go down a bit more, but predicting the bottom of the market is impossible. Now is the time to make that Breckenridge or Summit County purchase. Don't miss this opportunity - you have the price, you have the selection and while interest rates remain so low you have some great rates.
